ROLF Spectacles wins Green Good Design Award
ROLF proudly presents model "Zephyr 204" of their "excellence collection", winner of the GOOD Design Award.
This frame represents ROLF Spectacles top of the line - natural eyewear made from wood with lots of enthusiasm and great, precise technology. The model Zephyr is a classic and timeless frame, but on the other hand a unique eye-catcher and thus a stylish accessory.
The model Zephyr is available in different wood combinations: bog oak | walnut, eucalyptus, silver oak and eucalyptus | maple.
On top, silver oak is available in two-tone style, and eucalyptus | maple is available with engravings.
The excellence collection
The characteristics of the new excellence collection are the more sophisticated wooden hinge, the optimised lens-glazing system and meticulously executed details such as two-tone styles and engravings. The symbiosis of high design quality requirements and state-of-the-art production technologies forms the basis for these innovations. During production the differing size tolerances of the non-homogeneous materials are compensated by implementing advanced 3D-measuring for the first time, which in turn maximises the design scope. Blank forms of 11 layers combined with the optimised lens-glazing system allow for extremely thin-rimmed frames. A result of our drive to constantly improve, the screw-less and maintenance-free wooden hinge of the excellence collection reaches a new level in terms of precision and design.
